ARTi App — Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started

What is ARTi?

ARTi is a social learning platform for ages 13 and up. You explore topics you're curious about by creating content — images, videos, infographics, games, fun facts, quizzes, and reflections — and sharing them with the community. ARTi, your AI companion, guides you through it.

Who can use ARTi?

ARTi is designed for users aged 13 and older. During registration you select your age band (under 13, 13–15, 16–17, or 18+); we do not collect or store your exact date of birth. Users who select under 13 cannot create an account. If you are between 13 and the local digital-consent age (16 in the EU under GDPR Art. 8, 14 in Spain, etc.), a parent or legal guardian must have reviewed and accepted our Terms of Service on your behalf.

Is ARTi free?

Yes. ARTi is free to download and use. Some features require Gems (ARTi's virtual currency) and some premium features require an ARTi+ subscription.

Creating content

What can I create on ARTi?

You can create seven types of content:

Why was my content blocked?

ARTi uses automated systems and human review to keep the platform safe. If your content was blocked, it may have included language or imagery that violates our Community Guidelines. You'll see a message: "This doesn't comply with ARTi's terms." If you believe your content was blocked by mistake, see Appeals below.

Can I delete my content?

Yes. You can delete any content you've created from the content detail screen.

Gems

What are Gems?

Gems are ARTi's virtual currency, used to create visual content (images, infographics, videos, games) and for special actions like super-likes and streak freezes. Gems have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

How do I earn Gems?

You earn 50 Gems every day you use ARTi. With an active streak, Gems accumulate. ARTi+ subscribers receive a 3× multiplier on streak and challenge Gems.

What happens to my Gems if I cancel ARTi+?

Your Gems balance is not affected when you cancel ARTi+. You keep what you've earned.

What happens to my Gems if I delete my account?

All Gems are permanently forfeited when you delete your account. This cannot be undone.

Streaks

What is a streak?

Your streak counts how many consecutive days you've used ARTi. Each day you engage with the app, your streak grows by 1 and you earn 50 Gems. If you skip a day, your streak resets to 1.

What is a streak freeze?

A streak freeze protects your streak for one missed day. Streak freezes cost 200 Gems (or 100 Gems for ARTi+ subscribers). You can use up to 7 streak freezes per month with ARTi+.

ARTi+ Subscription

What is ARTi+?

ARTi+ is the premium subscription. It includes:

How much does ARTi+ cost?

Both plans include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

How do I subscribe?

Open the ARTi+ screen from your profile and tap "Start 7-day free trial." Payment is charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or Google Play account (Android) at confirmation.

How do I cancel ARTi+?

On iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ARTi → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → ARTi → Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

On the ARTi+ screen, tap "Restore Purchases." If you previously subscribed with the same Apple ID or Google Play account, your subscription will be restored.

What happens if I lose access to my account but still have an active ARTi+ subscription?

Your subscription is managed by Apple or Google Play, not ARTi. If you lose access to your account, contact us at support@arti.social and we will help you. Subscription transfers between accounts are not possible — you will need to cancel directly through Apple or Google Play.

Account

How do I delete my account?

Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your personal data and private content will be permanently deleted. Your public creations will remain anonymously on the platform. This action cannot be undone.

Note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your ARTi+ subscription. Cancel it manually in your Apple or Google Play subscription settings before deleting your account.

Can I have more than one account?

No. Our Terms of Service allow only one account per person.

Is ARTi available on more than one device?

ARTi is designed for use on one device at a time per account.

Safety and reporting

How do I report content or a user?

Long-press on any post, comment, or profile to access the report option. You can report for:

What happens after I report something?

Our moderation team reviews every report. We aim to act on high-risk reports within 24 hours and on general reports within 72 hours. You will receive a confirmation that your report was received.

My content was removed. What can I do?

For Community Guideline removals, write to support@arti.social within 30 days. Include your username and a description of the content. We respond within 5 business days.

For copyright removals, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@arti.social. See the DMCA page for the requirements.

I found content that seems illegal or involves a minor in danger. What should I do?

Report it immediately using the in-app report button, then contact us at support@arti.social with as much detail as possible. We escalate these cases to law enforcement and NCMEC when required.

Privacy

What data does ARTi collect?

Account data (email, username, display name, age band you select at signup), content you create, usage data (events, sessions, streaks, points), and device information for analytics and crash reporting. Chat prompts are processed in real time and not retained on our servers after the response.

When you choose to upload a photo or image as visual reference for AI generation, that image is sent to our AI provider for that one request and is not retained on our servers. EXIF metadata (which can contain location and device info) is stripped before the image is sent. Photo upload is always optional — AI generation works without uploading anything.

We do not collect your exact date of birth, your phone number, audio, your camera roll, your precise location, or your contacts. We do not use advertising identifiers (the IDFA or Android Advertising ID) and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What data does ARTi send to AI services?

Your text prompt, plus any photo or image you choose to upload as visual reference. When you use an AI feature (Create → image / video / infographic / game generation, or the AI chat), that data is sent to Google LLC (Gemini, Imagen, Veo) and/or OpenAI, L.L.C. for content generation.

We do not send your email, your username, your User ID, your age band, your location, your device information, or any other personal identifier alongside the prompt or image. Your prompt and any uploaded image are not stored by ARTi after the AI response is delivered. EXIF metadata is stripped from uploaded images before they are sent.

The first time you tap an AI feature, the app shows a consent screen explaining what is sent and to whom. You must accept before any prompt or image is sent. Uploading a photo is always optional and a separate, deliberate action on your part — ARTi never reads your camera roll without your tapping to select a specific image. You can revoke AI consent at any time in Settings → Privacy → AI Services. With AI consent withdrawn, you can still create free content types (Reflection, Fun Fact, Quiz, Glossary) and use everything else in the app. See Privacy Policy, Section 6 for the full disclosure.

Does ARTi sell my data?

No. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

How do I request a copy of my data?

Contact privacy@arti.social and we will provide your data in a portable format within 30 days.

Contact and support

How do I contact ARTi support?

Email support@arti.social. We respond within 72 hours on business days. For privacy inquiries, email privacy@arti.social.
